Our Bamboo plants are acclimated to harsh winters and propagated
in zones 5 and 6. The plants are potted for at least a year and
are full #2 containers. Which are comparable to most mail order
#5 containers, with the exception Fargeisa rufa that is #1container.
All bamboo heights listed below are the size they can attain
in zones 5 and 6. In warmer climate’s some of the bamboo will
grow taller then heights listed. Tall Bamboo Arundinaria gigantea (Canebrake Bamboo) 2'-3' Multi-cane #2 Cont. $55 This well-behaved, medium height bamboo is a new introduction from
China, and is still very rare in cultivation. It appears to be hardier
than most other species. In spring and early summer, the new shoots
are clothed with wine-tinged sheaths, which drop off to reveal olive-green,
polished canes. The foliage is darker than most other Fargesias
and the plant has a slightly open habit. Perfect if you need a smaller
specimen for a small garden or courtyard planting. Grows well with
morning sun and afternoon shade. Needs no containment to
prevent its spread. Not For Sale Can form a beautiful grove with mature culms displaying an olive
green color and yellow groove alternating between the nodes. Suitable
for medium-sized and large gardens as hedges, screens and specimens
in sun or partial shade. Plants should be contained where necessary. 3'-4' Multi-cane #2 Cont. $65 Green culms with good dark green foliage can create a dense canopy

leaves on strong erect culms. Useful as a screen or hedge in a protected

Indocalamus tessallatus (Broadleaf Bamboo) #2 Multi-cane Cont. $55 The largest leaves of the hardy low growing bamboos. Culms at first
are upright but soon arch under the weight of the large leaves.
Works nicely as a texture contrast with smaller foliages. Useful
as a ground cover or as a container plant indoors. Requires winter
mulching to protect the culms.Can be used as a container
plant indoors. Hibanobambusa tranquillans ‘Shiroshima’ (Shiroshima
Bamboo) 3' Multi-cane #2 Cont. $65 The strikingly attractive leaves are variegated in cream and green
with stunning color that persists throughout the year. It is the
best tall variegated bamboo, having larger leaves than other variegated
forms, resulting in a distinctive and bold effect. Best sited with
an eastern or protected exposure to keep the foliage colorful. Useful
as a massed specimen, keeping in mind that it can spread over time. Multi-cane #2 Cont. $55 New leaves can emerge nearly white and retain their variegation
through the season. The leaves are small and have a variable white
stripe in the center. Useful as a container plant or groundcover,

foliage that holds up well all year. Can be planted in deep shade

foliage arranged in whorls around slender stems. It prefers acid

green when young, developing a pale-blue waxy 'bloom' as they mature.
